Man hospitalized after motorcycle vs. bear crash in Cass County
PILLAGER, MN-- A man was hospitalized after a large black bear struck his motorcycle on a county road in Pillager.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened Aug. 1, when a large black bear came out of the ditch and struck a motorcycle traveling on County Road 34.
Medical personnel arrived on scene and treated the driver.
The 67-year-old’s injuries are non-life-threatening, authorities said.
He was transported to a hospital.
According to the report, the MN DNR issued a permit for the dead bear.
