Strong thunderstorms tonight, beautiful end to the week
AFTERNOON/TONIGHT: This afternoon we have an interesting set-up in the atmosphere. There’s plenty of energy and moisture for thunderstorms, but there’s a big problem for these storms to overcome and that is a cap. Basically, it’s too warm aloft for these thunderstorms to really get going. It does look like the cap will “break” after midnight. So that will be the best chance of thunderstorms redeveloping. There is still a chance before midnight though, especially in Wisconsin, so something we will keep an eye on. Lows will be in the 60′s.
WEDNESDAY: Wednesday we will have partly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the mid-70′s with northwest winds 10-20mph gusting to 30mph. So it will be a breezy, but dry day.
THURSDAY: High pressure will settle in for the end of the week. On Thursday we will have mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70′s. Winds will be SSE 5-10mph, so it will be slightly cooler by the lake.
FRIDAY: Friday will be the warm one to end the week. Highs will be able to climb into the mid-80′s with winds out of the south 5-10mph. Enjoy the summer weather!
