UMD secures 5th first-round draft pick, Isaac Howard

DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - On Thursday night during the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft, the Tampa Bay Lightning took future UMD Bulldog and Hudson, Wisconsin native, Isaac Howard, with the 31st pick.

Howard is set to join the Bulldogs this upcoming season. Howard becomes the 5th first-round pick in UMD history. Howard played with the U-18 National team this past year and skated in 60 games, recording a team-high 82 points.
