RICE LAKE, MN. (KBJR) - East Calvary Road is now open in Rice Lake after a fatal motorcycle crash that killed two people.

It happened around 9:15 p.m. Thursday near East Calvary Road and Howard Gnesen Road, just north of Duluth.

The St. Louis County Sherriff’s Office says a truck driven by a 28-year-old female from Fredenberg Township was traveling westbound on Calvary Rd and collided with 2 motorcyclists traveling eastbound on the same road.

The motorcycles were driven by a 42-year-old male from the City of Rice Lake and a 50-year-old male from Canosia Township.

According to the St. Louis County Sherriff’s Office, both motorcyclists died on the scene.

Witnesses told the sheriff’s office that the crash happened at a curve on the road.

Their names are being withheld until families are notified.
