76-year-old semi driver dies when logging truck overturns near Washburn

WASHBURN, WI -- A semi-truck driver is dead after a logging truck overturned in Washburn Monday.
According to the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 9:53 a.m. on Ondossagon Road in Washburn.
Authorities say the truck was traveling south carrying timber logs.
Tire marks indicate the driver drove off the shoulder of the road and attempted to drive back onto the road when the truck overturned.
The driver was found unresponsive in the cab.
Authorities later identified the driver as 76-year-old Gary Sanborn of Ashland, WI.
