Munger Landing will close temporarily for construction project
DULUTH, MN-- A construction project starting in July will prompt a popular Duluth boat landing to close for a while.
Munger Landing (Clyde Avenue Boat Landing) closes to the public on July 5.
The public cannot access the site or parking lots.
Crews will be working on a contaminated sediment removal project with an expected completion date of early spring 2024.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in partnership with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and industry partners are conducting the contaminated sediment removal project through the voluntary Great Lakes Legacy Act program.
Clyde Avenue will be closed east of the intersection with 88th Avenue West.
During the closure, alternative public water access to the Minnesota side of the Saint Louis River are located at Boy Scout Landing, Rice’s Point, and Park Point.
