DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - For the fourth time in the last five prep baseball seasons, Duluth Marshall is heading to the state tournament.

The Hilltoppers blew through the 7AA tournament without losing a game, and will open the Class AA state tournament with a quarterfinals matchup against Roseau.

“These guys love each other, and you can see it, you know. We’re engulfed into it, but we get comments all the time, text messages, this group is different. These kids are different, this culture is different and it really is formulated on love, these kids love each other, and it’s awesome,” said second-year head coach Nick Garramone.

First pitch between Duluth Marshall and Roseau is set for 5:30p.m. in St. Cloud. The state baseball finals are on Friday at Target Field.
