Aitkin Co. Sheriff: Space heater to blame that killed couple, grandson

AITKIN CO., MN-- A space heater may be to blame for an Aitkin County fire that killed a couple and their young grandson.
That’s according to the county sheriff.
The trailer home fire broke out about a week and a half ago in Wealthwood Township, which is north of Lake Mille Lacs.
Once the fire was put out, authorities found the bodies of Jeff and Michelle Cleys and their 6-year-old grandson.
All were from neighboring Deerwood, Minnesota.
