WEDNESDAY: On Wednesday we will see increasing clouds ahead of our next system. We should be pretty quiet for most of the day. Highs will be in the mid-60′s on the hill, upper 40′s by the lake, and 70′s inland. Winds will be out of the east 10-15mph. Into the evening hours, we will be tracking another round of strong to severe storms. The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds, with much less emphasis on tornadoes this time around. These storms will develop in southwestern Minnesota and move northeast. There’s a good chance they will arrive in our region late at night, after 10pm.

THURSDAY: Thursday we will see mostly cloudy skies and a 40% chance of some scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be back into the mid-70′s with southeast winds 10-15mph. That southeast wind will keep temperatures up the North Shore cooler. Again, overnight we will be tracking more severe thunderstorms. These storms will develop in western Minnesota in the afternoon and move northeast into the evening hours. Large hail, damaging winds, and maybe an isolated tornado will be possible.
