Thunderstorms today, a couple could be strong to severe
TODAY: We kick off the week with scattered showers and thunderstorms. A warm front moves through the region this morning into the early afternoon, which will bring our first round of thunderstorms. The second round arrives later this afternoon as a cold front pushes through the Northland. A couple storms may be strong to severe, with the main threats being large hail and strong winds. A couple isolated tornadoes can’t be ruled out as well. Highs reach the 60s and 70s with calmer conditions overnight.
TUESDAY: High pressure brings mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with highs in the 70s to near 80 degrees for many locations. Lows will be in the 40s and 50s with mostly clear skies.
WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy skies early will give way to overcast skies later in the day. Highs will be cooler near Lake Superior with winds out of the east at 5-15 MPH. Another system brings scattered showers and t-storms overnight into Thursday, a couple of which could be strong to severe. Check back for updates!
