Fire destroys Iron Range home; kills dog, 2 cats

PALO, MN -- Authorities are investigating what caused a fire that destroyed a home on the Iron Range Sunday afternoon.
According to Friends of the Northland FireWire, the fire broke out around 4:30 p.m. on the 5200 block of the East Bodas Road in Palo, which is near Aurora.

The house was fully engulfed when crews arrived.
A dog and two cats died in the fire.
It’s unclear if anyone was home at the time.
