Egg-stravaganza: an early Easter celebration at the Lake Superior Zoo
DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) -- The Lake Superior Zoo celebrated Easter on Saturday with its annual Easter Egg-stravaganza.
According to organizers, it was a whole day of Easter-themed animal enrichment activities.
In addition to a visit from the Easter Bunny, there was also an egg hunt, a magic show, face painting, and more.
Organizers said due to the pandemic, this is the first time in two years they’ve been able to offer the full version of this yearly Easter event.
“This is annual, we did do it last year but I believe we had a limited number of people who were able to come, and then I think it was canceled the year before because of COVID-19. We’re excited to be back, we’re excited to be in full force and we’re looking forward to a really incredible summer here at the zoo,” said Caroline Routley, Marketing Coordinator for Lake Superior Zoo.
The event was open to the public for a fee, but members of the zoo were able to attend for free.
