Warming up tomorrow, more snow Friday
AFTERNOON/TONIGHT: This afternoon we will continue to see cloudy skies and some snow and wintry mix. The best chance will be around Lake Superior with an additional few inches possible up in Cook County. The rest of us will see an inch or less. Lows will be in the 20′s and lower 30′s. Most of the precip. should subside after midnight.
THURSDAY: Thursday we will start out with some clouds, but there will be decreasing clouds to become partly cloudy. Highs will be in the lower 40′s with northerly winds 5-10mph.
FRIDAY: A shortwave trough in the jetstream will bring a chance of more snow on Friday. We will see scattered snow showers throughout the day. Accumulations will mostly be between 1-3″ for our region, however, the South Shore will see some lake effect through the overnight that will bring totals over 4″. Highs will be in the mid-30′s with northwest winds 10-20mph.
WEEKEND: High pressure will be in place this weekend to bring mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the mid to upper 20′s and some lower 30′s. So, it will be a bit cool, but at least we will see some sunshine.
