Moose Lake man announces run for District 11 State Senate seat
MOOSE LAKE, MN-- John Peura announced his candidacy for the District 11 seat in the Minnesota Senate.
Peura, 43, is a Moose Lake resident who serves as a public member on the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education.
Peura says his intention to represent District 11 residents in the Minnesota Senate is to apply his experience as a substitute teacher, public safety and mental health practitioner to continue building towards excellence and engagement to make a difference.
District 11 includes parts of Carlton, Kanabec, Pine and St. Louis counties.
Republican state senator Jason Rarick currently holds this seat.
Rarick has not publically announced if he plans to run again.
