SUPERIOR, WI-- Books and backpacks are prepared and ready for kids in crisis.
The Douglas County Disaster and Welfare Fund donated 35 “REACH BAGS” to Superior Police Department to comfort children they encounter in crisis situations.
The “REACH BAGS” have new children’s books in them.
Hundreds of additional books were given to the department for community engagement purposes.
The children’s books and backpacks are being delivered by REACH-A-Child, a Madison-based nonprofit which has been providing these resources to First Responders in Wisconsin since 2007.
