UPDATE: Ashland man dies in truck vs. semi crash near Iron River

BAYFIELD CO., WI-- One person is dead and two others have non-life-threatening injuries after a crash near Iron River Tuesday morning.
Wisconsin State Patrol says the crash happened around 10 a.m. when a pickup truck traveling westbound near Iron River on US 2 lost control and crossed the centerline.
Anthony Basley, 77, who was driving the truck, hit an eastbound semi-tractor trailer.
Basley was dead at the scene.
The female passenger, 43, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 64-year-old known as Brian Maki, who was driving the semi-truck also has non-life-threatening injuries.
While the crash remains under investigation, authorities say road conditions were a contributing factor.
