Lake effect snow machine starting up tonight
AFTERNOON/TONIGHT: This afternoon we will see mostly cloudy skies. Tonight we will see partly clear skies, but winds picking up out of the ENE 10-15mph. After midnight there will be a chance of lake effect snow from the Ports to up the North Shore. Lows will be in the single digits above and below zero. New snow accumulation will be between 1-3″ around the lake effect areas.
FRIDAY: We will continue to see mostly cloudy skies and strong winds out of the ENE 10-15 gusting to 25mph. This will lead to more lake effect snow bands from the Ports to up the North Shore. Highs will be in the teens across the region. New accumulations around the lake will be between 1-3″.
SATURDAY: Saturday we will have mostly sunny skies as high pressure sits over the region. Highs will be in the mid to lower teens with winds out of the south 5-10mph. The southerly wind will lead to more clouds, and a few lake flurries, along the North Shore.
SUNDAY: Sunday we will see another weak system pass and bring a 40% chance of some light snow showers. Highs will be in the lower 20′s, so it will be a bit warmer. Winds will be out of the WSW 5-10mph. Accumulations should have a fairly low impact to travel.
