Duluth Native Brett Larson to coach at Winter Olympics

DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - With NHL players opting out of the Olympics, USA hockey will be going elsewhere to fill out their Olympic roster, and a Duluth native will be behind the bench.

Brett Larson will serve as an assistant coach for the Americans at the Olympics. The former UMD assistant coach is currently the head coach at St. Cloud State. The team that UMD was supposed to play this weekend.

Minnesota State’s Mike Hastings will also serve as an assistant.
