He’s been the chief there since 2016, when he left Duluth.

Ramsay was on the Duluth Police force for 20 years, leading it for 10 years from 2006 to 2016.

He didn’t say what his next steps are, other than he hopes to spend more time with family and give his kids some of the same experiences he had growing up.

Chief Mike Tusken replaced Ramsay as the Duluth Police Department’s chief in 2016.
