9:00 P.M. UPDATE-- A kitchen fire caused $75,000 in damage at Duluth’s Pier B Resort Hotel.

The fire was located in the Silo’s Restaurant kitchen and spread to the hotel’s ductwork and roof.

Silo’s restaurant will be closed until further notice.

All guests were allowed back in the building, and no one was displaced due to the fire.

5:40 P.M. UPDATE-- According to Duluth Fire officials the fire has been put out.

Fire crews are now looking if the fire has extended throughout the hotel.

DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) -A kitchen hood fire has forced Duluth’s Pier B Hotel to evacuate Friday night.

Just before 5 p.m. Friday, a large plume of black smoke could be seen coming out of the hotel.

According to Duluth Fire officials, crews are still on scene.

No word on the extent of damage or if there have been any injuries.
