DULUTH, MN. (KBJR) - The Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth is launching a new event, hoping to draw in more visitors over the chilly holiday season.

Starting Friday, November 26, the Lake Superior Zoo will be hosting a “Larger than Life Lights” event.

It will feature several large inflatable animals ranging from a 20 ft. bobcat to Santa Claus. Other inflatable animals include a tiger, bear, monarch tree frog, and a lemur.

On Saturdays, kids can visit with Santa, but on Sundays the Grinch will visit as well. While visiting with Santa or Grinch, you can also enjoy some hot chocolate.

The Zoo also has another special event coming up on Small Business Saturday which includes a reward.

Haley Cope, CEO of the Lake Superior Zoo, said “We have our Wild Winter Craft Show this Saturday for ‘Small Business Saturday’ and shop local and any tickets purchased that day to the craft show will also receive a free ticket to Larger than Life Lights.”

The Larger than Life Lights event runs through December on select dates. Tickets are $5 for members and $10 for non-members. You can find more information at https://lszooduluth.org/lights-2/.
