Mild and breezy conditions move in, Thanksgiving looks cool!
TODAY: Breezy conditions out of the south at 5-15 MPH will help to bring high temperatures in the mid 30s to low 40s. Skies will also be mostly clear to partly cloudy. Lows fall into the 20s to around 30 degrees with increasing clouds.
WEDNESDAY: Low pressure moves back into the region. Skies become cloudy throughout the early morning with highs in the mid to upper 30s by the middle of the morning. Temperatures fall throughout the afternoon thanks to windy conditions out of the NNW at 10-20 MPH, gusting higher at times. Much of the northern and eastern portions of the region will have a few light snow showers push through the region Wednesday night into Thursday morning, leaving many areas with under an inch of snow. In addition, lake effect snow looks to be possible for areas along the South Shore of Lake Superior beginning Wednesday evening, and potentially lasting on and off through later in the week. Check back for updates on this potential!
THANKSGIVING DAY: NW Wisconsin begins the day with a few light snow showers. Some roads may be slick during the first part of the day thanks to light snow showers from overnight. Lake effect snow showers continue on and off for the South Shore, mainly east of Ashland. Otherwise, skies become mostly clear throughout the bulk of the region with a breeze out of the NW at 5-15 MPH. Temperatures will be in the upper teens to low 20s as well. Lows dip into the teens and single digits.
