Cloquet, MN- Local vendors are giving the Northland the perfect opportunity to get a head start on their holiday shopping. On Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Cloquet Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the Craft, Art and Vendor Fair. Guests can enjoy some local artistry and goods in the Otter Creek Event Center at Black Bear Casino. Admission and parking on both days are free.

Ashland, WI- The Ashland Fire Department held a wet down ceremony on Monday night to celebrate their new Engine 2 truck getting put into service. Chief Matthias spoke about Engine 2′s history, and the department chaplain led the gathering in prayer. After the new truck was wet down by firefighter John Blakeman, crews ceremoniously transferred water from the old Engine 2 into the new one. To conclude the ceremony, firefighters and citizens pushed the truck into its new place in the station, officially putting it into service.

Duluth, MN- Northspan, a local non-profit consultant for economic development, is hosting the first annual Equity Summit Wednesday morning. With the event, they hope to cement a more inclusive future in Northeast Minnesota. They are calling on community leaders, local businesses and anyone who would like to attend to engage on topics involving diversity, equity and inclusion.
