DULUTH, MN -

The American Red Cross Serving Minnesota received a big donation to its Home Fire Campaign Wednesday.

Enbridge donated over 300 fire detectors to the Red Cross located on the Duluth-Hermantown border, allowing the organization to continue installing free smoke detectors in homes that are at-risk in 16 counties in Minnesota as well as Douglas County in Wisconsin.

The Home Fire Campaign has since 2017 installed over four-thousand free smoke detectors in over at-risk homes across the Northland.

For more information about how to support the effort, volunteer or to request a smoke alarm installation, call the American Red Cross Serving Northern Minnesota at 218-722-0071.
