Due to the high risk of rip currents on Wednesday, the Duluth Fire Department says a red flag warning will be issued until 10 a.m. on Thursday.
The warning means that wind and wave conditions can support rip currents, which are life-threatening to anyone who enters the water.
Officials are asking everyone to stay out of the water, regardless of swimming experience.
There are currently no lifeguards at Park Point.
More information on conditions and rip currents can be found here.
