The Head of the Lakes fair in Superior kicked off Tuesday with the annual Stock Car Races.
The WISSOTA stock car races began at 6:30 at the Gondik Law Speedway Track in Superior.
The races feature late models, super stocks, and pure stocks.
The Fair also offers 4-H exhibits, animals and agriculture, midway thrills, concessions and a demolition derby.
Several concerts are also free with gate admission. But organizers say the stock car races are always a draw.
Director, Head of the Lake Fair, Crash Carlson says, "There are late models, and that's the big class, and then there are super stocks that look something like a light model. And then there are pure stocks that are a car like you drive on the street a few years back."
Meanwhile, the South St. Louis County Fair in Proctor starts Wednesday and runs through July 15.
