This nasty snowstorm is pushing back a major Duluth construction project.
The contractor working the Superior Street reconstruction project originally planned to begin closures throughout the downtown Duluth area on Tuesday; however, the snow is forcing them to wait another day to hit the pavement.
According to a city spokesperson, closures from 3rd Avenue West to 7th Avenue West will start Wednesday.
Officials say the project will take three phases to complete, with each phase lasting from mid-April to mid-October.
They say Superior Street should be open again on October 15.
According to the Duluth Transit Authority, buses will operate on the Standard Weekday Schedule Monday without the Superior Street Detour as previously planned
