UPDATE: Authorities identify man killed in Gull Lake crash

EAST GULL LAKE, MN -

Mark Prazak, 61, of Nisswa, died after crashing his vehicle in the Gull River near East Gull Lake on Tuesday.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office says Prazak was driving west on Gull Lake Dam Road, went through the intersection of Gull Lake Lane, and then landed in the river.

Authorities say Prazak was the only person inside the vehicle, which was on its roof when authorities found him. 

The crash is still under investigation, and an autopsy will be done to determine his cause of death.


A Nisswa, Minnesota man is dead after authorities say his car was found upside down in a river with him inside.

It happened just after 6:40 Tuesday morning near Gull Lake Dam Road and Gull Lake Lane in the City of East Gull Lake. 

The Cass County Sheriff's Office says officers found a 2012 Mercedes Benz car on its roof in the Gull River. They say the 61-year-old driver was the only person found in the car.

Authorities believe the man was westbound on Gull Lake Dam Road, and went through the intersection of Gull Lake Lane into the river. 

An autopsy is scheduled, and the crash is under investigation.
