Local artists capture Beargrease Marathon highlights
DULUTH, MN -
If you didn't watch the Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon in person, there was another opportunity to see the dogs in action.
Photographers and watercolor artists captured the event's excitement and showcased their work at the Great Lakes Aquarium Sunday afternoon.
Each artist was asked to pick two images for the gallery.
In total, there were more than 50 images on display. Organizers said it's a great way to bring the community together and an opportunity for artists to show off their best work.
"The photographers get a sense of pride in doing some good work," event organizer Kyle Krohn said. "I like it to build community, that's why I opened it up to other visual artists like watercolor artists."
