A Cloquet ceiling tile-making facility has agreed to pay $59,500 in penalty fees to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
MPCA officials say USG Interiors LLC self-reported the air quality violations, which happened between 2014 and 2016.
The fees would resolve 32 air quality permit violations in total.
Air pollutants from the company can cause respiratory and cardiovascular illness, and can also cause visibility issues.
The company says they have also completed three required compliance actions to ensure timely equipment performance testing.
