St. Scholastica's Hovland qualifies for NCAA championships in 5,000-meter run
DULUTH, MN -
St. Scholastica senior Casey Hovland has qualified for the NCAA Division III indoor track and field championships in the 5,000-meter run, it was officially announced on Monday morning.
Hovland ran an adjusted time of 16:53.65 in that event this season, which was the third fastest in the nation. After appearing in three national meets for cross country, this will be her first career appearance in track and field.
The women's 5,000-meter run is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. Friday in Birmingham, Ala.
