Authorities say they've discovered a cache of firearms, ammunition and explosives at a home in Vadnais Heights, after threats were made by a student.
Ramsey County officials say a student recently threatened a fellow student, which was then reported to the Sheriff's Office by a parent.
Investigators executed a search warrant Friday, which they say turned up a cache of guns, ammo and bombs.
Officials say a 13-year-old boy and his parents were arrested.
The Ramsey County Sheriff says the arrests averted a "potential tragedy."
"This type of incident reflects the pattern we see in the preamble to many incidents across out country that tragically happen. I think there is certainly the potential for the possibility that our deputies averted the potential of that threat or that kind of an incident happening in our community," said Sheriff Jack Serier.
The adults are charged with gross negligent misdemeanor storage of a firearm.
St. Paul Bomb Squad was going through the house Friday night to make sure the entire property is safe.
