Officials with the Nashwauk-Keewatin School District say there are no credible or authentic threats to the safety of their schools.
In a Facebook post on Friday, district officials say students overheard a threat on a school bus, which was then posted on social media.
School administrators reached out to police, who were then able to respond to the district's concerns.
Officials say disciplinary action has been taken.
District officials also say parents should reinforce the importance of "when you see something, say something" with their students.
