Dozens of College of Saint Scholastica students boarded a bus and traveled to the state capitol Wednesday to promote the Minnesota State Grant Program.
Organizers say at least a third of the undergraduates at CSS receive a grant from the state.
The average value of the award is more than $3,000.
Student leaders say this is important to not only the students at CSS, but for all students attending Minnesota colleges.
"Well this is a super important grant because a lot of our students receive it and without it, um, they wouldn't be able to be going to a private school and having the option to choose where they want to go, choose their career path," said CSS Senior Maggie Beasley.
The mission is part of the College's Community Day event.
