A 41-year-old man is in custody after allegedly shooting into a home in Eveleth.
Police responded to a home on Adams Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. on Tuesday on a report of a possible bullet which had been shot into the home.
Officials say the homeowners heard a loud bang, and found a hole in their upstairs second story window and nearby wall.
Police were able to determine a bullet had gone through an upstairs window, and then gone through a hallway and into a bedroom after finding the bullet inside the home.
Officers later determined it had come from a rifle, and it had been shot from a home across the alley.
Police discovered a man, who was living with his parents, was home at the time, and contacted him.
The suspect then went to the upstairs of his home and said "Do not confront me."
His parents said there was a 30-30 rifle inside.
Police set up a perimeter and tried to talk with the suspect multiple times.
The suspect was arrested after several hours of attempts to talk with him.
He was arrested without incident, and was taken to the St. Louis County Jail in Virginia.
Formal charges are pending at this time.
No one was injured, although many people were inside the home at the time.
