DULUTH, MN -

The public has another chance to weigh in Wednesday on Minnesota Power's proposed natural gas power plant.

Minnesota Power and Dairyland Power Cooperative have proposed constructing a $700 million natural gas power plant, which would be built in Superior sometime after 2020. 

Minnesota Power would purchase half of the plant to the tune of $350 million. 

Wednesday afternoon, an administrative law judge will hear public comments on the proposed project. 

You can share your thoughts at 4 p.m. at Canal Park's Inn on Lake Superior. 

Written comments will be accepted until March 23rd. Community members can submit comments by email to consumer.puc@state.mn.us or mail them to Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, 121 Seventh Place E., Suite 350, St. Paul MN 55101. Comments should reference PUC Docket No. 17-568.
