Barnum native, St. Scholastica G Newman earns all-UMAC honors

Barnum, Minn. native and St. Scholastica junior guard Brandon Newman has been named to the all-Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) men's basketball first team, it was announced on Tuesday.

It's a second straight first team selection for Newman, who led the Saints in scoring 14.4 points per game this season. He also posted a career-best 101 assists and led the team with 32 steals.

Newman passed the 1,000-point plateau during the year and currently sits ninth in program history with 1,137 career points.

Also earning all-UMAC honors was sophomore guard Collin Anderson, who received honorable mention.
