Esko senior catcher Tyler Peterson has verbally committed to play Division II baseball at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), he announced Tuesday afternoon via Twitter.
"Proud to announce my commitment to further my education and baseball career at the University of Minnesota Duluth," the tweet read. "Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way."
Peterson hit for a .645 average in the 2017 season, driving in 17 runs and helping the Eskomos to an overall record of (16-3).
He'll be expected to join the Bulldogs as a freshman in the 2019 season.
