DULUTH, MN -

St. Scholastica senior nordic skier Kelsey Dickinson has qualified for her third NCAA Division III championships, it was officially announced on Monday afternoon.

Dickinson is the first female skier in program history to qualify for three national meets, and only Paul Schommer had done it before on either the men's or women's side.

Dickinson didn't join St. Scholastica until mid-January this season after attempting to make the United States Olympic biathlon team, but she's led the team in six of the seven races she's competed in. She was fifth at the NCAA Central Regional championships earlier this month, earning a program-record fifth all-region citation.

The 2018 NCAA Division III nordic ski championships are scheduled for March 8-10 in Steamboat Springs, Colo.
