Minnesota State Senator Dave Tomassoni took a moment on the Senate Floor on Monday to recognize the Men's Curling Team gold medal win.
"I think it merits ignoring Senate Decorum to give Shuster Rink a standing ovation. But knowing how important decorum is I'd like to move for a recess so we can do that. We're in recess," said Tomassoni.

Before the standing ovation from the Senate, the Chisholm lawmaker joked that the win was so special to him, he tried to send his first tweet about it this weekend.
No word on whether he was successful.
Senator Tomassoni is no stranger to the Olympics.
He played for the Italian National Hockey Team in Sarajevo in the 1984 Winter Olympics.
