Douglas County is helping the community recognize signs of drug abuse before it becomes deadly.
It's why they're putting a unique twist on a drug awareness event Monday night.
Not only will experts talk about the growing substance problem, but anyone 18 or older is invited to tour a "Mock Drug Room."
The staged room has been set up to look like a teenage drug user's room. Participants will be asked to point out any drug or alcohol-related paraphernalia they see.
Doors at the Superior Middle School open at 5:30 p.m. and the speakers last from 6 to 8 p.m.
It's free and open to anyone.
