Burns' 20 points not enough, Northern State downs UMD in NSIC quarters

Junior forward Sean Burns scored a career-high 20 points, but the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men's basketball team's season came to a close on Saturday with a 75-62 loss to No. 11 Northern State University in the NSIC quarterfinals in Sioux Falls, SD.
UMD erased an early double digit deficit to only trail by eight going into halftime. The Wolves, however, sprinted out of the gates to start the second half, quickly extending their lead to 19.
Superior, Wis. native Brandon Myer added 14 points and Jake Wilson had nine points for the Bulldogs in the loss.
