Crystal man thrown from snowmobile, hit by another in Thursday crash
Cook County, MN -
A Crystal man was injured during a snowmobile crash in rural Cook Thursday.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, 42-year old Reid Bradford Nelson was driving his snowmobile on the Bearskin Snowmobile Trail near Linden Grove Township when his ski caught the outside edge of the trail.
Authorities say Nelson was thrown from his machine, landed on the trail, and was struck by a snowmobile coming from the opposite direction.
Nelson was taken to the Cook hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities say he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
