A local gallery hosted an exhibition Saturday afternoon after receiving a warm welcome from the Duluth community.
The Joseph Nease Gallery held a "Sweep" exhibit at its home location on West 1st street in Duluth.
"Sweep" is a regional and national survey of nearly 20 contemporary painters presenting new or very recent artwork.
Included are all of the painters currently represented by the Gallery, as well as an equal number of invited local painters.
The opening was attended by several of the artists participating in the exhibition as well as key members of the local arts scene
Owner of the gallery, Joseph Nease says, "So right now we have two local artists, Tim White and Kathy McTavish, but in this particular show we have about twelve local artists including all the work that is here"
With this second exhibition, the Gallery is intent to continue in its mission of giving great artists, a great place to show their work.
