(CNN)-- White House Chief of Staff, John Kelly says he will quit if President Trump wants him to, but he has not formally submitted his resignation.
CNN reports the White House Deputy Press Secretary says, Kelly has not offered to resign in any way.
The buzz in political circles has been all about Kelly and whether he will continue in his administration role.
Kelly and other White House officials are under scrutiny regarding handling of domestic abuse claims against former White House Staff Secretary, Rob Porter.
There are questions about why they didn't remove Porter after they found out about allegations he hit both of his ex-wives during their respective marriages.
Porter resigned Wednesday but denied the claims made against him.
