The first semi, carrying parts of the American Birkebeiner International Bridge, is on its way to Minneapolis.
The bridge was taken apart on Monday, and will be taken to the downtown Minneapolis area by twelve trucks.
It will be re-built starting this Saturday.
The first two loads are expected to arrive Tuesday morning.
The bridge will be built on Nicollet Mall over Ninth Street for the ten day festival, and will be open to the public.
It will also be used during the City of Lakes Loppet Festival.
