National Park Service officials say it's too early to tell if the ice caves near Cornucopia will be open this year.
As of Monday, current ice conditions were not safe enough to allow access to the caves.
Lake Superior is currently around 6.5% frozen over.
If the caves do open, visitors are reminded there will be a $5 fee per person for anyone who is 16 and older.
The earliest the ice caves have ever opened was on January 15th.
