Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra plays tribute to Prince

The community got to ring in the new year with a symphonic tribute to one of Minnesota's greatest music legends, Prince! 

The Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra presents: Pops -Purple Rain played Sunday night at the DECC. 

The evening's Symphonic Tribute to the Music of Prince and the full orchestra brought to life some of the biggest hits of this incomparable musician. 

The band played hits such as Little Red Corvette and When Doves Cry. 

Dirk Meyer, Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, "People coming out to see it and just enjoying the music is so different from what we usually do and for us as musicians, it's always fun to do something completely different and so it's a challenge and at the same time really fun"

The event was held in Symphony Hall.
