Two people are recovering from injuries after being airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth following a crash in Sawyer County.
Authorities say the crash happened just after 7 p.m. Thursday night when two vehicles collided at the intersection of County Highway E and State Highway 27/70.
According to the Sawyer County Sheriff's Office, a Mitsubishi was traveling south when the 17-year-old driver collided with an east-bound SUV after the Mitsubishi didn't stop for a stop sign.
The 17-year-old, as well as the 21-year-old passenger in the car, were both airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital.
Their names and conditions are unknown at this time.
The driver and passengers in the SUV were uninjured in the crash, which remains under investigation.
