New year means new minimum-wage rates in Minnesota

Posted: Updated:

A new year means a higher minimum wage in Minnesota.

The rate is being adjusted for inflation  to $9.65 an hour for large employers.

It's $7.87 an hour for other state minimum wages.

The adjustment stems from the new minimum wage bill signed into law by Governor Dayton in 2014.

The change takes effect January 1st.
